VOL washbasin, designed by Víctor Carrasco Office for Boffi, explores a sculptural approach to bathroom elements defined by continuity, fluidity, and formal reduction.

Conceived as a wall-mounted basin, the design articulates a single, integrated volume where geometry and function are resolved through a seamless transition of surfaces. Its configuration responds to both residential and contract environments, introducing a compact solution that emphasizes spatial clarity.

The project was developed in 2009 as an experimental study to explore the possibilities of the material Cristalplant.

The design is structured around a continuous form in which the basin emerges from a unified mass, eliminating any superfluous articulation. The interior volume is defined by a soft concavity that guides water naturally, while the exterior maintains a precise and controlled geometry.

VOL continuous form

This approach generates a balance between expressive form and functional performance, where the object is perceived as a single gesture rather than an assembly of parts.

VOL bathroom detail

Vol is defined by its essential language and its capacity to integrate into diverse architectural contexts, from private bathrooms to hospitality projects. The piece expresses a clear relationship between material, form, and use, reinforcing a vision of the bathroom as a coherent spatial system.

The result is a design that combines sculptural presence with functional clarity, reducing the object to its most fundamental expression.
